The Bethel Senior Center VAN

Call the BSC to  schedule an appointment (24 - 48 hours notice, please). The van can pick you up at your home or at the local senior living community and drive you to anywhere you would like to go (including shopping, medical appointments, social trips) in the following towns: Bethel, Brookfield, & Danbury.  Our van is a curbside service. All passengers must be independent to board on and off the bus independently or have a person with them to assist. 

 

SweetHART

SweetHART is a transportation service for Seniors age 60 or older and persons of any age with disabilities. It provides door-to-door service with reservations made in advance.For detailed information, visit their website: https://www.hartransit.com and click on the SweetHart Bus image.

How To Register. You must complete an eligibility application to use SweetHART. Two applications are available; a short form for persons age 60 or older, and a long form for persons with disabilities. If you are a Senior with a disability, complete the long form application. Once you are certified to use the service, you will receive a SweetHART ID card. This card also entitles you to half fare privileges on the HART fixed route system. Applicants that do not meet the criteria for eligibility will not receive an ID card and will be notified in writing as to the reasons why they are ineligible.
