Voting by Absentee Ballot, Early Voting, or in Person on Election Day 11/5/24
The Presidential Election will be held on November 5, 2024 between the hours of 6:00am and 8:00pm at your designated polling location. To check your voter status and your voting location please use this link: https://portaldir.ct.gov/sots/LookUp.aspx
*ABSENTEE BALLOTING* begins October 4, 2024. To vote by Absentee Ballot you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Your active service in the Armed Forces of the United States
- Your absence from town of residence
- Sickness
- Your religious tenets forbid secular activity on the day of the election
- Your duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all hours of voting
- Physical disability
In order to apply for the Absentee Ballot an application must be completed by the voter. This can be done one of three ways:
- Apply online (easiest way) at this link: https://oabr-sots.ct.gov/OABR/absenteeBallotReqPortalHome.do OR:
- Print the form located here CT.gov Portal - Absentee Application and return it to our office either by mail, drop box, or in-person. OR:
- Come to the Town Clerk's office in person during normal business hours.

*EARLY VOTING*
Recently, legislature passed the law allowing for Early Voting. This allows for in person voting for 14 days prior to Election Day. Early voting takes place in the Municipal Center during the following dates and hours:
10:00am - 6:00pm OCTOBER 21 - OCTOBER 28 & OCTOBER 30
8:00am - 8:00pm OCTOBER 29 & OCTOBER 31
10:00am - 6:00pm NOVEMBER 1 - NOVEMBER 3
