Fingerprinting Services Currently Require an Appointment. 

 

Pre-Employment Fingerprints
The Bethel Police Department provides pre-employment fingerprinting services only for Bethel residents ($10 exact cash/check) and applications for employment in Bethel ($20 exact cash/check). This service is provided by appointment only on Wednesdays from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Anyone looking to obtain fingerprints for employment must be given a Pre-Enrollment code provided by their employer and must visit the CT Criminal History Request System to Pre-Enroll. Once Pre-Enrollment is complete, each applicant will receive an Applicant Tracking Number/Barcode to bring with them to their appointment.

Appointments can be made by contacting 203-744-7900 ext. 107 once Pre-Enrollment has been completed.

The fee is $10.00 per card for Bethel residents and $20 for non-residents (only when applying for employment in Bethel). There is no fee for Bethel Board of Education applicants.

Your prospective employer is responsible for pre-registration with the state of Connecticut.

Pistol Permit Fingerprints
Pistol permit applicants are required by the state of Connecticut to Pre-Enroll for fingerprints.   Visit CT Criminal History Request System to Pre-Enroll.

Once pre-enrollment is complete, each applicant will receive an Applicant Tracking Number form. This form MUST be printed and is REQUIRED to make a pistol permit fingerprinting appointment. Pistol permit fingerprints are done by appointment on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Fingerprints CANNOT be submitted to the state without the Applicant  Tracking Number, your application WILL BE REJECTED. NO PISTOL PERMIT APPOINTMENT CAN BE MADE WITHOUT THE APPLICANT TRACKING NUMBER FORM. Appointments can be made by contacting 203-744-7900 ext. 107.
