All programs require participants to stay socially distanced. We are following the Governor's guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy. We are happy to announce that the Bethel Senior Center has virtual programs online for your enjoyment and participation. We are also happy to announce that the van service is up and running. Please call the Bethel Senior Center to make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
All parties and travel are cancelled for 2021 at this time. We have planned both day trips and overnight trips and parties for 2022. This will be announced in the Jan./Feb. 2022 newsletter. We are looking forward to our trips and special events for 2022.
The Bethel Senior Center VAN
Appointments are being taken. Please call the office to make an appointment. The van can pick you up at your home or local senior living community and drive you to where you would like to go (including medical appointments, shopping, social trips, etc...) in the surrounding towns: Bethel, Danbury, Brookfield.

Our Mission
Since 1977 our community's mature citizen, 50 years and older, can find a multipurpose facility at the Bethel Senior Center. It is our mission to provide opportunities for friendship, physical, intellectual, cultural, and social activities; to motivate individual and group participation; to encourage positive attitudes and preserve individual dignity and respect for all older adults.
The Bethel Senior Center offers many different activities and classes:
Exercise: Chair Yoga, Total Wellness, Traditional Dance, Yoga, Zumba
Creative Classes: Art, Crafts, Crocheting, Ceramics, Knitting, Quilting,
Special Interest: Bible Study, Book Club, Computer Class, Lectures, Lunch and Learn Programs.
Games: Bingo, Board Games, Canasta, Left-Right-Center, Puzzle Making, MahJongg.
Parties & Travel: Holiday Parties (Superbowl, Chinese New Year, MardiGras, Victorian Tea, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Summer Barbecue, Grandparents Day, Halloween, Veteran's Day Breakfast, Holiday Shoppe, Holiday Party; Day and Extended Trips.
Services: Elderly Information Service and Assistance,
Blood Pressure Clinic, Health Awareness, and Information Seminars, Health Insurance Counseling, Holiday Shoppe, Lunch everyday including a nutrition cafe meal on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday (please call for information).
